Professor of German at Michigan State University, Thomas Lovik teaches first-year German, linguistic analysis, and teaching methods. He is the editor of Die Unterrichtspraxis/Teaching German and has published in the area of contrastive pragmatics between German and English.
J. Douglas Guy
Adjunct professor of German at Northern Essex Community College, J. Douglas Guy is an editor and ghostwriter who has contributed to instructional text and media for German and Russian programs. He has also worked as a court interpreter, translator, and freelance photographer.
Monika Chavez
Born and raised in Austria, Monika Chavez studied German and history at the University of Vienna. She specializes in Applied German Linguistics and is a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she co-directs the Ph.D. program in Second Language Acquisition.
